Upcoming Election Dates

May 4, 2010 is the next election.  Currently there are school board seats up for election in the Gaylord Community Schools and the Vanderbilt Area Schools.  The Gaylord Community Schools also have an operating millage renewal proposal on the ballot.   The Village of Vanderbilt-Corwith Township Fire Authority also has a proposal on the ballot.    The deadline to file for the May 4, 2010 election is February 9, 2010 by 4:00 p.m. at the County Clerks Office, 225 West Main Street. Gaylord.  Forms can be obtained at the County Clerk's office for filing for office.

August 3, 2010 Primary Election

Candidates for County Convention delegate(Precinct Delegate) file an affidavit of identity for the August primary. You can file with your Township Clerk in which the candidate lives, City Clerk or the County Clerk by May 11, 2010 by 4:00 p.m. Forms can be obtained from your Township, City or County Clerk.  You also can find them on the State website www.michigan.gov/sos 

Partisan and nonpartisan candidate(other than judicial candidates) file nominating petitions (or fees if applicable) and affidavit of identity for the August primary by May 11, 2010 by 4:00 p.m. at the County Clerk's office.  Withdrawal deadline elapses at 4:00 p.m. on May 14, 2010.  Forms can be obtained from the County Clerk's office or from the State website www.michigan.gov/sos
