About Our District

The districts mission is to assist the people of Otsego County in the wise use and management of their natural resources for a healthy environment and sustained economic growth.

The Otsego Conservation District was formed in June of 1944 to become the 17th district in the state.

The district is a local unit of government, governed by a board of local officials elected for four-year terms at the district’s annual meeting.
